July Fav

Yesterday, I went to Target to shop stuff for Diamond. I ask one of the staff, "Where can I find pet related stuff?" Of course, w/ my painful jaw, I couldn't really enunciate.

She was like "You mean like lady 'pads'?"

"No, PETS."

"Pads?"

"PETS!"

(Long pause, she's processing.... )

"Like cats and dogs?"

"Oh, if you keep on walking straight......."

Since I can't really speak w/o laughing at how ridiculously I sound, here is my July Fav blog.

First product is Loreal Original Voluminous Mascara. The wand is big and has long traditional bristles. It gives my lashes a lot of volume and length, w/o being too clumpy. The formula is creamy and rich. I've never tried a mascara that feels so smooth on my lashes. Of course there's always a price tag that goes along w/ long and voluminous lashes, which is you do feel the weight on your lashes. (The polar opposite would be Maybelline Full & Soft) That's probably the only thing I'm not too fond of. But otherwise, a great mascara. Definitely great for everyday, and even greater for special occasions.

Second product is also a mascara that I've been wanting to try for a long time. It's NYX Doll Eyes Long Lash mascara. Heard a lot of good reviews about it. The wand is not very big, and it has a hour glass shape. The bristles are short and sterdy. The formula is more of a cream or paste texture. It doesn't give too much volume, but it really defines and separates my lashes. Excellent for that everday natural look (when people think that they are your natural lashes and compliment on how long they look. ) Try it as a lower lash mascara, you'll totally appreciate the thin wand and understand why it's called the "Doll Eyes" mascara.

This is the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hr Cream Skin Protectant. I use this mainly on my lips. It's very similar to Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment, except it has an orangy color and has that pine-y fragrance. My lips are really chapped these days, and this ointment has really helped to sooth my lips and make them look soft and supple. I've been reaching for it constantly. Although I do love it, I'm not sure if I would spend $17 on it if I ever run out. In that case, I might probably still stick to Eucerin.

Next is a nail polish. It's by Sinful Colors in Flirting Nails. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color!!!!! It looks very sophisticated on my nails (my picture doesn't do a justice). It's a champagne/beigy color w/ some pink undertone. What I love about it even more is that it has that very flattering sheen. I don't have pretty nails, but this nail polish really make my nails look pretty decent. The color is so earthy, and I love how it blends in w/ my olive skintone w/o making it look too yellow. The best part is that it only costs $1.99 at Walgreens. Great for a polished and professional look, staying low-key, and conserving your wallet.

Fav eyeshadow of the month is NYX Single Eyeshadow in Salmon. I haven't really used this much since I bought it. But it's a twist between gold and apricot color. So gorgeous as a wash of color all over the lid. The texture is velvety soft like most NYX shadows. I love these neutral eyeshadows that I could just splatter all over my lid when I'm on the go.

Last, but not least is the H2O Milk Silkening Hair Mask. I can't say for sure that it has helped to improve my hair. But everytime I use it, I feel like my hair becomes a little bit more manageable and smooth. It also feels like my hair became a bit stronger after I used it. Not a must have, but pretty nice to have around. Got this at my local TJ Maxx.

So that's it, a very short post because I haven't really been buying that many new products lately. I'm officially announcing that I'm entering the 10 Pan Project. It's time for me to finish on some of the old products I've been ignoring and save money for more important stuff..... such as my tuition and misc. expenses...... All right, I'll update later on which products I'll tackle first. But for now, I'm gonna fix myself some lunch. See ya later~~~~
